Who We Are
The Case-Halstead Public Library is located at 571 Franklin Street. Our Library provides free services to all residents living within the Carlyle, Illinois city boundaries with services available to all others for a fee.
The library holds over 24,000 materials including books, CDs and videorecordings.
Approximately, 40,000 items were checked out of our library during fiscal year 2009-2010. In addition to these items, hundreds of people entered the library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet through the Library’s T-1 connection, enjoy Wi-fi service, participate in computer and internet training.

Our Mission: The aim and responsibility of Case-Halstead Public Library is to provide materials chosen for values of interest, information, and enlightenment of all people in the community.
The library should cooperate with all individuals and groups seeking information, research, educational, and interesting library materials and to work with and encourage patrons to use the facilities.
